A new wetlands predator joins us
We are very pleased to announce that a new species of animal has joined us here at Crocodiles of the World
Meet Fred, Fred is a male Fishing cat. Fishing cats are a small but powerful felid and are native to South and Southeast Asia. Unlike other species of cat, fishing cats love to swim and play in the water.
Fishing cats are listed as a Vulnerable species by the IUCN with destruction of wetlands being the main problem they face.
Fred was born in January 2017 at another zoo here in the UK. He loves playing in his pool so why not stop by and say hello.
