Re-opening FAQ

Hopefully you will find all the information you need below to help plan your visit to Crocodiles of the World.

We shall update this FAQ as and when things change, so do keep checking prior to visiting.

 

 

When are you open?

We are re-opening from Monday 12th April 2021.

 

I have gift vouchers/keeper experiences that were booked for January 2020 what should I do?

Thank you for your patience. If you have a gift voucher for zoo entry or a Galapagos tortoise, Meerkats or Komodo Dragon keeper experience please contact us via email info@crocodilesoftheworld.co.uk. For all those who had booked an experience our visitor team will be in touch with you directly. Please follow us on Facebook to keep up to date with the latest news.

When you re-open will I need to pre-book tickets?

Yes, we are limiting visitor numbers and will review these numbers regularly. You therefore need to book in advance to guarantee entry.

 

Can I book for a specific day?

Yes, the booking system will only let you book a specific day. These can be booked on the day of your visit if allocation allows. Tickets are not transferrable, so you must visit on your allocated date.

 

Can I arrive at any time?

Yes, you can arrive at any time during the day. Last entry is 4pm.

 

I have a season ticket, how do I book?

Please call the zoo directly to book your place and our visitor team will sort this for you. Please email info@crocodilesoftheworld.co.uk or telephone 01993 846353 (please note that email is preferred if possible). If you’d like to purchase a season ticket you can upgrade your ticket upon arrival, but you do still need to book.

 

I have a Zoo admission gift voucher, how do I book?

Please contact the zoo directly to book your place and our visitor team will sort this for you. Please email info@crocodilesoftheworld.co.uk or telephone 01993 846353 (please note that email is preferred if possible)

 

I have an E-ticket that was purchased before the zoo closed – can I just turn up?

We need to monitor visitor numbers carefully so please contact the zoo directly to book your place and guarantee entry.

 

 

Can I book a Keeper Experience?

Yes, we are not taking bookings online. You can also buy a gift voucher. To book an experience please see our keeper experiences page.

 

 

Do I have to wear a face mask?

Yes, face masks/coverings are compulsory in predominantly enclosed areas. There are signs around the zoo to help remind you.  This does not apply to children under 11 years or those who are exempt, or in our outdoor areas.

 

Will the Café and Gift Shop be open?

Yes they will both be open.

 

Is the one-way system accessible for wheelchairs?

Yes, the one way system allows for accessibility for wheelchairs users/pushchairs.

 

Can I bring a picnic?

You are very welcome to bring a picnic and our benches are socially spaced.

 

Will there be any talks, feeds or photo experiences?

There will be no scheduled talks or feeds, but our keepers will be continuing their daily duties of caring and feeding the animals, as well as keeper experiences, which you are welcome to watch whilst maintaining social distancing. You can have your fun photos taken, but there will currently be no alligator handling.
