Our Binturong Keeper Experience gives you the opportunity to get up close our gorgeous Binturong called Winne. You can help to feed him his favourite snacks and learn all about these ‘bearcats’ who are neither a bear, not a cat! Being up close and personal you will also no doubt get to smell his popcorn scent which Binturongs are so well known for. This unique experience is available on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 12:30pm and is limited to a maximum group size of 4.

Animal Adoptions

Our keeper experiences are run by experienced members of our expert zoo keeping team and include the following:

 

  • Your session will begin with a safety briefing
  • You will then enter the meerkat enclosure with a zoo keeper for approx. 20 mins
  • Opportunity to feed him favourite snacks
  • Close interaction – watch our Binturong walk across high branches and navigate his way to his food
  • Discover where they are from, their unique attributes and the threats they face
  • All participants will receive a special commemorative certificate
