Educational resources

We have an in-depth range of educational programmes matched to the National Curriculum at Key Stages 1, 2, and 3.

During learning sessions, links will be made to the animals at the centre and information displays. Selected enclosures, resources and live animals may be used to illustrate key points. Educational resources and worksheets are available for use at the centre or in the classroom.

Guided tours

All pre-booked education visits receive a guided tour at no extra cost. We have a wonderful presenter team able to present all aspects of the zoo in an entertaining and educational manner. They are are a very knowledgeable team, especially about the species here at the centre, and if they can't answer your questions, they'll find out for you!

We're currently in the process of updating our learning sessions and free downloadable resources for KS1, KS2, and KS3.

Custom sessions

If you would like us to create a session tailored to suit your needs then please do not hesitate to contact the education team. We can create an educational session tailored to your groups' age range, term topic, or curriculum topics. The length of the tour can also be tailored to your groups' needs.
