Dedicated founder and owner Shaun Foggett is a lifelong crocodile conservationist and enthusiast. Recently featuring in the popular Channel 5 series 'The Croc Man', Shaun's passion and dedication have made him a huge hit with fans of all things reptilian.

A lifelong passion

Shaun is a lifelong environmentalist and and an advocate of crocodile conservation. He founded Crocodiles of the World, which provides a home for over 60 different crocodiles comprising 12 species, operates breeding programs for endangered species, provides a crocodile rescue centre and leads fundraising efforts to aid worldwide conservation activities.

Through the zoo's diverse collection of crocodilians, including crocodiles, alligators and caimans, it aims to educate and inform visitors, raising conservation awareness around the world. By dispelling the myth that crocodiles are vermin or a dangerous nuisance, Shaun hopes to make a lasting contribution to safeguarding the future of crocodiles.

Shaun's message

"Crocodiles and crocodile conservation are my passions and the driving force in my life. I want to do everything I can to protect the animals I love in their natural environment, and safeguard the future of each species. That's why I have set up Crocodiles of the World.

Although many crocodile species have slowly recovered from being wiped out out by hunting and other pressures, many species are still at risk. Some species have disappeared from large areas of their original, natural habitat.

It's vital that we do everything we can to protect these beautiful creatures.

Crocodiles of the World aims to make a massive difference to crocodiles and crocodile conservation, and we want to make people aware all over the world about these incredible animals and just how precious they are - all of them!"
